Webinar Behaviourist
Welcome

Welcome to the Webinar Behaviourist. The one stop shop for your training and behaviour webinars. This is a new initiative on our part and what we will be doing in the coming months is giving you the opportunity to participate in training, behaviour and breed specific seminars in the comfort of your own home.
This has proven a popular media to deliver CPD seminars amongst our veterinary colleagues so we have taken up on their idea to offer the same in training and behaviour for anyone with an interest in furthering their knowledge. They will be open to anyone, Veterinary personnel wishing to expand their knowledge in the training and behaviour field, Trainers and Behaviourists looking to unique insights into breed specific behaviour, Dog Groomers, Dog Walkers, Pet Sitters, Dog Wardens and Handlers also to the Dog Owner that would just like to know more about why dogs do some of the things they do.
Traditional canine behaviour seminars usually require attendance and this can be problematic logistically at times having to arrange child care, pet care and fitting it in around an otherwise busy life schedule and if we are honest, costs play a big part too. We are about to take the stress out of doing that. With the Webinar Behaviourist we are in the process of inviting guest speakers to deliver your webinar directly into your home computer. Initially we are looking to cover breed specific seminars and I can hear you all saying, “Yet another seminar on Breed standards and confirmation!” I know, experience has shown us in the past that breed specific seminars are usually padded out with this to make the day longer.
What we have done for our guest speakers is come up with a seminar template that will address the issues we need to know as trainers, behaviourists, veterinary personnel and owners as these seminars will be open to all.
So, with that said, we are looking for experts in their chosen breed to deliver a series of one – one and half hour seminars to groups of trainers, behaviourists, veterinary personnel to meet their continued professional development and the general public with an interest in knowing more about your breed speciality at a relatively reasonable cost. Join our email list to be updated on upcoming events.
Your seminar should begin with the history of the breed and how it came about, the uses that humans have selected for over the years and how this may have changed from the origins of your breed to current day. You should also include specific behaviour traits and how these can affect living with your chosen breed.
What we are not looking for is a detailed description of Breed standards as this can be found in many other media and is often used in seminars to "Pack out the day," what we do want is for you to share your expertise and experience of your speciality breed in all things historical, developmental, health, training and behaviour, temperament and companion animal information that is presented in a logical, educational and well planned format preferably with multimedia presentations.
What breeds are we looking for experts to deliver seminars on? Well, all and any really. We want people enthusiastic and Knowledgeable about their breed, if you have written articles for trade magazines or breed magazines then we want you. If you have published or co-published a book on your chosen breed then we want you. If you breed dogs and have shown then we want you. If you are a veterinary professional with a passion for one or more breeds then we want you. Are your Chair person, secretary or committee member of a breed association, then we want you.
Below are just a few of the breeds we would like to deliver specialist seminars on and in no particular order, but if your breed isn't listed please don't be offended, just get in touch to let us know whether you would like to deliver a Webinar and educate others about your chosen breed
